Sentinel Missile Guidance System

Currently there is minimal information available on the Missile Guidance System being developed for the new Sentinel missile.

Air Force Global Strike Command has stated that Honeywell has been awarded the contract to develop and manufacture the missile guidance system to be used with the Sentinel missle.

The NS-50 Missile Guidance System, as shown in the photo above, is what the Minuteman III missile is currently using for its guidance system.

Honeywell has been involved in US nuclear weapons and has producied key components for the US Minuteman III missile, as well as the Trident II (D5) system, currently in use by the United States and the UK.

Honeywell is the original manufacturer of the Pendulous Integrating Gyroscopic Accelerometer guidance instrument used on the Minuteman III, and has been identified as the only producer of this key nuclear missile component.
