This author had the honor and privilege to visit the Strategic Air Command Museum outside of Omaha, Nebraska. The Association of Air Force Missileers had their National Meeting in 2016, and one of the activities during that 4 day meeting, was having dinner at the museum, and a self-guided tour of the museum following dinner.

These are photographs of a Boeing EC-135 Airborne Launch Control Center plane, also referred to as Looking Glass. It was in the process of being restored, and this author had complete access to the plane. Words cannot adequately describe the incredible experience of exploring this plane. It was a once in the lifetime experience. After recently discovering the video featuring the restoration of this plane, this author decided to not just share the video link, but the personal photos of the plane in the early stages of restoration, taken back in 2016.

The massive amount of wiring throughout the plane was incredible. Lighting inside the plane made a number of photographs difficult, but the two photos below gives one a look at just how complex the wiring diagrams must have been, for those electicians and the computer/electrical technicians to refer to in servicing and repairing the equipment.
